Deborah and her husband, Tony, recently moved to the Shoals area from Alexander City, AL, where she spent the last 15 years as an athletic trainer for Benjamin Russell High School. As a former collegiate swimmer, Deborah truly enjoys working with athletes of all sports. As a ATC, you will find Deborah on the sidelines of our local school sporting events overseeing the safety our area athletes. She is also the face of Peak’s Wellness Program and administers the many classes offered to our community for all ages and abilities.

Her kind and caring personality pair great with her experience to give our members the best Peak experience to reach their goals. Outside of athletic training, Deborah is deeply involved in church ministry, as her husband is a pastor. She also enjoys outdoor activities, time with family and friends, and cooking/trying new recipes.

Steven went to work for Healthsouth as a outreach athletic trainer for most of the Lauderdale County Schools straight out of college for two years, then transitioned to work for North Alabama Bone and Joint Clinic for the next 14 years covering Rogers, Wilson, and Mars Hill as an outreach Athletic Trainer for all sports. “I love working with athletes and helping them be the best they can be while keeping them as healthy as possible. I feel a sense of pride seeing them overcome injuries and come out better on the other side.” Steven is excited to now be able to help both Brooks High School and Lauderdale County High School athletes perform at their best.
Steven moved to Florence to attend school and never left, married to Tiffany Smith Sewell since 2011. They have two sons, Mason and Luke, and one dog named Bear. He enjoys playing golf, fantasy sports, and woodworking. Steven has been working with Peak Performance since August 2020.
